Who I am

My wife, our dog, and I have proudly called Waubaushene home for the past 11 years, and my passion has always been about leading positive change right here in Tay. Many of you might know me from my recent nine-year term on the Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH) Board, where I started as our community representative in 2017 and wrapped up as Board Chair in 2026. During that time, I focused on a simple goal: bringing better healthcare closer to home, cutting down wait times, and making sure our local health resources work smoothly together. Now that I’m retired, I’m channeling that energy back into our neighbourhoods. I’ve stepped into new roles on our local Seniors and Recreation Committees, and I’m still actively fundraising and advocating for our community through the GBGH Foundation and Guys Who Care.

When I’m not out with my camera, speaking at events, or creating professional development content online, I’m focused on how we can keep Tay moving forward. I truly value the respectful, results-oriented leadership our current Council and dedicated staff bring to the table. I’m running because I want to bring my background in strategic marketing, public engagement, and hands-on governance to the team. I believe in building strong partnerships, listening to residents, and bringing a fresh, well-rounded perspective to the table. It would be a true honour to serve on the next Tay Council, and I’m ready to work hard to help our community navigate whatever challenges and opportunities come our way.

Why Tay Council

Through my years of community engagement, I have seen what makes Tay a wonderful place to live: a facts-based, results-oriented and respectful Council, supported by dedicated staff who listen, respond and deliver the Strategic Plan.

I offer a unique blend of experience community leadership, hands-on public engagement, and strategic marketing experience. My ability to nurture cross-sector partnerships, further advocacy efforts and build new institutional capabilities will bring a diverse, well-rounded perspective to the Council.

I would be honoured to serve on the next Council, contribute to its strong leadership and help Tay navigate the uncertain, unpredictable and disruptive times ahead.
